Hafan Hedd is nestled within a charming farm-style courtyard, with the cottage easily visible as you enter the driveway. Located in the heart of the small rural hamlet Brimaston, this self-catering barn offers bright and spacious rooms. On the ground floor of this lovely barn conversion are an open plan kitchen/dining room, large lounge, laundry room, and family bathroom. Hopefully, our photos reflect this gorgeous living space but sometimes you have to be there in the moment to appreciate this lovely authentic barn feeling. The three bedrooms in this property are spread across two floors. This property has one spacious bedroom downstairs which is fitted with an ensuite. This bedroom also benefits from doors out into the garden.

Upstairs you will find two bright gorgeous bedrooms – a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. Both bedrooms are spacious and both share the second family bathroom. Not only is the property fitted with high-quality furnishings but the beams and flagstone floors also add to the rural country holiday feel. Y Llofft Wair, Solva, Haverfordwest

Y Llofft Wair is a stone barn conversion based near Solva, St Brides Bay in Pembrokeshire. Our lovely holiday home is accessed from a private cul-de-sac drive and situated with a small group of cottages. The group of cottages shares lawns with country views.

Y Llofft Wair has an open-plan living/dining area and a separate kitchen. In the lounge is a comfortable sofa with two armchairs which is perfect for relaxing in the evening in front of the log burner. In the dining area of this open plan living space is a table and seating for four people. Our kitchen strikes the balance between modern and rural. As per the photos the kitchen has wooden fitted units and wooden style worktops. You will be pleased to read that the kitchen is also equipped with all the holiday home essentials.

Down a small set of steps, you will find a large family bathroom that has a combination bath and shower, so you can enjoy a quick wash or a long soak after a long day of walking. This barn conversion has two bedrooms, one double and one bunk room. Therefore, not only does this rural holiday in Wales suit couples, but it is also ideal for small families looking for a countryside break. To avoid a cluttered look, both bedrooms have been styled with minimal décor. The bedrooms have high-quality furnishings to add a luxury feel to your stay. Ardwyn

St Dogmaels, Cardigan

This dog friendly holiday cottage is steeped in family history and offers a contemporary style, perfect for short or long stays.

With a double and twin room, it sleeps 4 people, and boasts a spacious lounge and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a washing machine and dishwasher.

Access to the cottage is via a footbridge over a running stream, and the property may not be suitable for those with mobility problems.

Located in St Dogmaels, a small village overlooking the River Teifi, the area is perfect for exploring. A boat trip around Cardigan Bay is a must, as is walking the 186-mile long Pembrokeshire Coast Path, which starts in St Dogmaels.

The village also boasts a pub, mini-market and fish and chip shop. A short distance away is Cardigan, which hosts a weekly farmers market offering a range of local produce.
