The Property

This large detached family home for 8 guests has superb sea views and stands in an acre of private grounds at Newport/Trefdraeth in the Pembrokeshire National Park.
It is just a short walk from Parrog beach, the Nevern estuary, Newport boat club and the 186 miles of Pembrokeshire coastal path.
The restaurants and shops in Newport are a pleasant country mile walk away and you will also find pubs and traditional shops providing just about all you could need. There is a lovely links golf course overlooking the beautiful sandy beach at Traeth Mawr and the estuary is a haven for wildlife.
Other places to visit nearby are Fishguard, Porthgain Harbour, Poppit Sands, Cardigan and Aberporth.

The Surrounding

Newport (Trefdraeth), meaning ‘Beach Town’ in Welsh, straddles the Fishguard to Cardigan road at the mouth of the River Nevern. The ancient port of Parrog is the home of a stunning beach, castle, church and other attractions. The location itself is part of the Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park and is very popular with bird watchers, cyclists, tourists and hikers who want to explore Pembrokeshire.

While Newport has plenty of offer during your stay in Pembrokeshire, it is within a 30-minute drive from some of Pembrokeshires top attractions. Our recommendations would be Dinas Head, Strumble Head Light House, Fishguard, Porthgain and Abbereidy. Carningli Mountain is a must if you enjoying exploring and hiking. The peak provides 360 degree views of Pembrokeshire. During the incline you will stumble across old hut circles from forgotten civilisations.
